David Heine Surgical First Assistant, Kenosha, WI

As a Surgical First Assistant with 29 years of experience, attending the Surgical Skillz hands on lab for knot tying and basic suturing was a great refresher for the basic's. Often times we learn bad habits in a long career, Surgical Skillz helps to cement the basic skill set we learned in our beginnings. Marvin Wilson is a Surgical First Assistant with decades of experience and a love of teaching that comes through as he leads his students in the mastery of suturing and knot tying.

I really enjoyed this class! The pace and format was so relaxing and not stressful. Marvin was a patient teacher and took time with each of us to make sure we got the technique right. I would highly recommend this class to anyone who has interest in wound closure!

This course was very helpful and necessary. I learned a lot about basic suturing and tying. I want to be a First Assistant at some point and this was a good course to put me ahead of the game whenever I try to become a First Assistant. The instructor was very nice and was a great teacher.

I owe a lot to Mr. Wilson, as a first assistant, I was in a position that I wasn’t able to use the suture skills that I had been taught. I had the opportunity to attend one of his suture classes. Through his expertise and patience, he gave me the confidence to go back in the OR and use the skills I had been initially taught. Thanks Marvin!

The wound closure class was an awesome experience. The class was great and actually closed for the doctor I work for that next Monday. Thanks for everything Marvin.

Lori Anderson, NewPort News, VA

I enjoyed Marvin’s services. He spoke to each student one on one. I had a lot of staffs! In addition, he brought manuals and suture tables for all. I really appreciate Marvin’s patience with our crew and payment delays. The wound closing skills have allowed staff to close for our Surgeons, and our turnover time has decreased as our Surgeon satisfiers have increased.Marvin thanks again.

Thank you so much for coming to North Carolina to teach us basic wound closure. It was a pleasure having you and I will definitely invite you back in the near future. Hopefully, for some advanced wound closure techniques. The workshop participants, as well as myself, was very pleased with the workshop. You gave us a skill that we can begin to build on and hopefully move on to become surgical assistants. The environment was very relaxed and laid back which made learning easy. We even did things the “North Carolina” way and you adapted to our style. Thanks again and I look forward to working with you in the future.

I just wanted to say thank you for the time you spent with me in your suturing class. As a PA I’ve had some basic experience with simple suturing from emergency room and urgent care environments, but I didn’t realize how much more there was to know until surgeries required it. Multi-layered closure with a nice looking sub-Q finish is a whole different ball game. Your encouragement and patient, expert instruction gave me the confidence I needed to make me the effective, efficient PA my supervising surgeon requires. Thanks, Marvin! Awesome class!
